Olive Navette biscuits

INGREDIENTS

  • egg – 3 PCs.
  • egg (yolk) – 1 PC.
  • butter – 75 g
  • milk – 1 tbsp
  • flour – 500 g
  • salt
  • sugar – 250 g
  • water – 100 ml

STEP-BY-STEP RECIPE

Step 1

Melt the butter in the microwave, 30 sec. In a bowl sift the flour together with salt, add sugar, mix well. Make a deepening in the middle and pour in the eggs and melted butter. Mix well.

Step 2

Gradually infusing water, knead a smooth elastic dough. To pass on to the floured table and knead until then, until the dough no longer sticks to hands. To put it in a bowl, cover and leave in a cool place for 1 hour

Step 3

Divide the dough into small balls with a diameter of about 3 cm. Roll each into an oval pellet.

Step 4

Wrap the inside of the longitudinal edges of the tortillas, giving them the shape of the sides of the boat.

Step 5

Make a shallow incision in the middle. Put “boat” on an oiled parchment covered baking sheet and leave for 1.5 hours

Step 6

Mix the egg yolk with milk and brush this mixture cookies. Put in a preheated 180°C oven for 10-15 min.
To serve tea, coffee or hot milk.

Navetti with the scent of orange blossom (Fleur d’orange) – a classic Provencal cuisine. In our stores you can buy it quite difficult. But you still can give it liver pleasant orange aroma, spreading in the water 1-2 tbsp orange liqueur or vivarin zest of one large orange in 100 ml of water.
